Employee Benefits

Holidays

N-E-I recognizes eleven (11) days during the calendar year as paid holidays for full-time employees. Those holidays are New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, George Washington’s Birthday, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veteran’s Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.

Military Leave

Employees will be granted a leave of absence without pay to fulfill Military Reserve obligations. In granting such leave, N-E-I will comply with applicable statutes, which govern the duration of leave and reemployment rights for all employees fulfilling their military obligations.

Jury Duty

N-E-I encourages employees to fulfill their civic duties regarding jury service. Full-time employees who are called for jury duty or subpoenaed to serve as a witness will be required to submit their documentation and request for leave and be approved by Human Resources. A Request for Time Off (RTO) form must be submitted as soon as possible so arrangements to plan/coordinate such absence can be made. Employees are required to report for work as the court schedule permits.

Bereavement Leave

Full-time employees will be allowed up to three days of paid leave to arrange for and/or attend the funeral of an immediate family member, including the employee’s spouse, child, parent, sibling, grandparent, stepparent, and father/mother-in-law. If additional time is needed, employees may use accrued Vacation, PTO, or unpaid leave.

EQUAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY

N-E-I is an Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) employer and will not tolerate any form of discrimination of or by any employee or applicant on the basis of race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy), gender identity, sexual orientation, age, genetic information, citizenship status, military membership, national origin, status as an individual with a disability, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local law. N-E-I expressly prohibits any form of unlawful employee harassment based on membership in any protected class listed above or any other characteristic protected by applicable law.
